Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 22, 2026 · Last updated: February 22, 2026

Short version: nCal does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your Mac.

nCal is a menu bar calendar application for macOS developed by Norbert Boron. This Privacy Policy explains how nCal handles information when you use the app. nCal is designed with privacy as a default. The app does not collect, transmit, or share any information about you or your usage.

nCal does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

  • Personal information (name, email, or any identifier)
  • Calendar events, titles, dates, or any calendar content
  • Usage data or analytics
  • Crash reports or diagnostic information
  • Device identifiers
  • Location data
  • Any other data of any kind

There are no analytics SDKs, tracking libraries, or third-party data collection tools embedded in nCal.

nCal requests access to your macOS Calendar in order to display your events in the menu bar. This is the sole purpose of calendar access. Your calendar data is read locally on your Mac by the app and is never transmitted to any server — not to Norbert Boron, not to any third party. No copy of your calendar data ever leaves your device. You can revoke calendar access at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.

nCal does not require you to create an account or sign in. There is no user registration and no backend service associated with the app.

nCal is distributed through the Apple Mac App Store. Apple may collect certain data in connection with your App Store account, app downloads, and purchases in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy. This data is collected and managed solely by Apple and is outside the control of nCal or its developer.

nCal does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. As the app collects no data whatsoever, it is safe for use by all ages.

If this Privacy Policy changes in the future, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised effective date. Since nCal collects no data, any changes are unlikely to affect your privacy.
